Many DPS are maxed on ATK% rather easily, so flat boosts are the only way to increase that. Also, flat boosts are affected by TDH and TDW.That all said, 50% is a huge chunk of ATK. An Esther built for LB could probably use it and then push the Marshal Glove into DKL's TMR or something like that. Units can have Equipment Atk or Mag through their gear. For example, Lightning’s STMR gives 50% Equipment Atk when dual wielding, which means that you take all of the raw Atk on all their gear and add another 50% of what that equals to their Atk stat.

A 50 Atk accessory in this circumstance would actually add 75 Atk. This is how you inflate units to really high numbers because units can get up to 300% TDH and 200% TDW, which means the 50 Atk accessory is actually worth 200 Atk or 150 Atk in those circumstances.
