Fallout 4 Season Pass Worth It
Fallout 4 isn't out yet, not until, but that hasn't stopped Bethesda from about its future. As is the fashion nowadays, Fallout 4 will come with an optional Season Pass that for a one-off fee will get you automatic access to any DLC released for the game. For our North American friends, that'll cost $30. At the current exchange rate that's £20, which seems fair if we get a similar range of DLC for Fallout 4 as we did for Fallout 3.That said, all we have is Bethesda's word that they 'know that it will be worth at least $40' and a reminder that they could even do more than that.
Mar 21, 2016 Fallout 4 Season Pass is a way to get all Fallout 4 paid DLC without having to make several purchases over time. It contains several robust content packs and expansions, boosting Fallout 4's longevity up to unimaginable levels. New tasks, new regions, new quests and vistas to behold. Fallout 4 has a ridiculously priced season pass. Though it started out at $29.99, which is average for such a thing, it jumped to $49.99 not long after DLC announcements and releases began appearing.
Of course, they've left out the part where they could also do less. They also have no information on what the DLC will entail, which I guess makes sense given that they're trying to avoid even the base game.Stepping away from ways in which Bethesda wants more of your money, there'll also be regular free updates to the game, as with Skyrim. While bug fixes are essential in a Bethesda game, we can also apparently expect new features, maybe even ones based on feedback from players: 'We'll work with all of you to figure out what new things you'd love to see added to Fallout 4,' they say. Also free is the Creation Kit, which will be released early next year. Once again, it's the same tool the team uses in the studio, and will let PC players create mods that can then be shared with others—even those playing on consoles.Speaking of mods: here are our. I got it when FO4 came out for $30, before they raised the price, and ended up being happy with the purchase.
If I had gotten it after the price increase. I wouldn't be upset about it but I wouldn't be happy, either. The workshop DLC packs are only valuable if you care about building settlements. If you don't it's a complete waste. The story content was great. Far Harbor was excellent, Nuka World was a ton of fun (even if I don't like the decisions you're forced to make), Automatron felt short but if I did it in a new save it'd probably be ok. The content stuff is worth picking up.I dunno what the pricing on stuff is right now, but imo if the cost of buying Far Harbor, Nuka-World and Automatron add up to almost the cost of, or the same cost, as the season pass just get the season pass. The workshop stuff might not be worth it on it's own but if it's basically free or at least dirt cheap at that point why not?.
