Outnumbered and out-gunned, lead The Brigade through a desperate campaign to retake their war-torn homeland.

Disappointed by the company's decision to take Industries of Titan to Epic and away from Steam, but I realize there are different divisions and stuff, even within the same company. So I'm happy to hear Phantom Brigade is still on Steam, and that I can support it.Sounds like you made some big changes to the game recently though, any word on when we'll get more news on that? Hoping the aspects that appealed to me from the start are still going strong. Originally posted by:The only platform we're committing to for Phantom Brigade at the moment is Steam. Miniatures

I don't care if you release elsewhere (the more the better, go wild), but if go out of your way to hold off on launching where you said you would, I can't support that. Thanks for the response. And, speaking of other platforms, have you thought about GOG? People love GOG too, and I think this game would do well there too. In regards to release timings, or platforms, all we've stated thus far is our intent to bring the game to PC and Steam with a TBD release date.

I don't think we've made any promises about these things, as they're not even fully decided yet.The game doesn't have a firm release date, and we're pretty big on iteration. Its been in various closed Alphas for a while now and has undergone a lot of changes. We're also considering doing early access, so we can flesh the game out with more content and weapons leading up to a full release. If we make a firm decision on this stuff, you can expect we'll make formal announcements about it.In regards to DRM, I've advocated against it on all the games I've worked on in the past. I feel that it is something that only affects your paying customers, as pirates are the ones who don't have to deal with it. This is just my personal feelings on the matter, and I plan to advocate against adding DRM to Phantom Brigade as well, if it ever comes up.I have to agree, GOG is a great store.Sorry for the slow replies though, and I hope this answers your questions. We're all busy getting ready for PAX and attending GDC so it will take a bit to respond.

Originally posted by:Great wording. Definitely leaves open the possibility that it will be a timed Epic Store exclusive as there is no 'it will launch on Steam at the same time as other platforms' yet is just 'it will come to Steam on PC someday.' I can't be too picky. They obviously aren't willing (or able, perhaps) to answer, and I don't feel like pestering devs.I was very clear, and they wouldn't answer. If it launches on Steam, I'll almost certainly buy it. If it goes to Epic first; I WON'T.It is a shame they won't fully answer, but it is what it is.

To be clear, I'm not answering because I don't want to tell you something that might be incorrect at some point down the line. We haven't solidified plans for release dates, timings, or even what platforms and storefronts the game will be on. As soon as we have firm information there, rest assured we'll let everyone know. What I can do now, is listen to your concerns, take your feedback down and make sure that your voice is heard during any discussions we have.On that note, please let me know what your concerns are about the Epic Store, and timed exclusivity. As well, I'd be interested to hear if you have any opinions on what would be the 'right' way for a studio to handle exclusivity if at all? At the end of the day, we want to make the best game possible for you to enjoy.

Thank you for responding, I really appreciate it. Before I used to buy a game and the only thing I worried about and had to check was if it had loot boxes or micro transactions and how predatory they were (like if it impacted the game design to try and part you from money). Now my most pressing concern is if it is going to be an Epic exclusive or not, and whether I can support the dev straight up or wait a year for a Steam or GOG version, as I will now never support Epic in any way shape or form.

At least now I know I can purchase it here you have guaranteed yourself a sale, as I am looking forward to this one.
