Master of Orion itself to date has gotten two sequels. Master of Orion II (1994) was a very good game that brought many improvements (including multiplayer) but failed to keep the magic of the original. Master of Orion III (2003) was a poor attempt to revive the 4X game genre that has not seen many releases in recent years. Master of Orion PC download given here is one such title. This is a reboot of the series which saw the first title released in 1993. One of things about 4X titles is that, if you are new to the genre then you are going to have a little learning to do. What happens is you will try to explore your surrounding first.

The original Master of Orion is a stunning bit of science fiction 4X which needs to be in any strategy fan's collection. Surprisingly enough, this sequel outdoes its predecessor and stands as one of the finest examples of the genre, making it a must play if you have any interest in this sort of thing. There's a bit of background to the game, involving a mystical planet created by the Ancients and a race to become its new master. This is where you come in, and you must take control of one of several different alien races and guide them to their rightful place at the head of the galaxy. In many ways, the essential concept of the game remains unchanged, and you must use a mix of diplomacy, military might and other such things in order to become ruler, while managing resources, exploring space and researching new technologies. A major change here is the ability to play with other humans, which really adds to the appeal, but even if you're playing solo, this is a masterpiece of a game. Although the basic concept is nothing new, it's the way that everything is integrated so beautifully that makes this work so well, even after all these years. The interface is pretty friendly for such a game, so even if you've never played one before, you shouldn't be too lost. It also has plenty of replay value, with thirteen very different races to try, as well as all the expected depth and tactical challenge, thanks to the sheer range of options and activities. When you throw in the decent visuals and sound, you're left with a true classic.
A 1996 great sci-fi computer game
Master of Orion 2 was so good that even today is it used as an example of how a great sci fi computer game should look like. A continuation from Master of Orion, this turn based strategy has a few new additions and improvements - A great feature is the multiplayer option which allows one on one matches and battles with many players. The game has similar winning condition of Imperialism game. The game mostly plays like its predecessor so old players will feel right at home, since nothing important has been altered. Sound and video have been greatly improved, and the game now look absolutely fantastic. This game is a great sequel of the classic, very nice to play and a superb specimen in the sci-fi gaming history.
Space trading strategy computer game
Master of Orion 2 is the best space strategy computer game I ever played. I've been playing this on an off for more than a decade and still got to play now and then. One of my favorite feature is the ability to create your own race with its own set of abilities and to customize your space ships at will. Do yourself a favor and download this classic.

The game was released for PC (DOS) and Macintosh.Long ago - according to legends - there was an ancient civilization of the Ancients living on the planet Orion. Access to it was guarded by powerful Wardens, orbiting the planet, destroying any intruder who approached Orion. At the same time, the Ancients waged war on the Antaran race.
After the defeat of the war, the Antarians were expelled somewhere else. Now, long after the disappearance of the civilization of the Ancients, new races began to colonize the planets - creating their own empire.
The only problem is the civilization of Antaran - defeat them to become the Lord of Orion.Master of Orion II is a turn-based game in which you play the ruler of one of the thirteen races available in the game.
